Mud + Otis founder Taygen, is a skin therapist and skincare formulator. For her, creation has always been a form of therapy, a form of play. In childhood, she felt most herself with her feet in the sand and mud in her hands. In her twenties, she attended Rinaldi's College of Aesthetics to refine her skill set and discovered how important it is to bring the riches of nature into the products she crafts. At first, Taygen created for love - skincare for her friends and family, and then products for her child, Otis. Mud + Otis became second nature to her, not only her love for crafting the products but also for creating the brand.

Mud + Otis redefines beauty by providing skincare products that are handcrafted, ethical, raw and natural. They believe that skincare should feel balanced and illuminate you, all while protecting you from the elements. Mud + Otis aims to carry innovative skincare that nurtures you through wild beauty.
